The 411: Groundbreaking and confrontational artist/filmmaker Carolee Schneemann received the award in recognition of her fierce and creative expression through performance and filmmaking. As part of the evening's program two of her challenging works, "Precarious" and "Devour" were screened for the intimate gathering of 60 guests. The award was presented to Schneemann by performance artist and gallerist Nancy Douthey.
Judy Nyquist chaired the evening that raised funds for the educational and artistic programs of Aurora.
