Modern art meets charity for Baylor Teen Health Clinics
It's an art gallery. It's a studio. It's an artist's home. And recently it was party central for the Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinics and the Foundation for Teen Health.
The spacious Heights Boulevard home that artist John Palmer shares with his partner Ryan Lindsay welcomed a youthful crowd, members of the non-profit's Young Visionaries group. They gathered to spread the word and raise funds for the seven clinics that provide free health care to more than 26,000 low income adolescents and young adults.
Key players on the scene were event chairs Audrey Drought-Mitchell and Lee Mitchell, Channel 39 news anchor Mia Gradney, who served as mistress of ceremonies, and Anne Van Horn, foundation executive director.
Guests perused Palmer's paintings (a portion of sales went to the foundation), bid on silent auction items and grazed through a spread put on by Catalan, Paulie's and Sugarbaby's.
The partygoers included Beth Bryant, Brittany Zucker, Samira Salman, Judge Mike McSpadden, Brooke and Christopher Rives, Kristyn and Marty Hogan, Temple Ramming, Sarah Walters and Fernando Aramburo, Jamilia Holomon, Kristy Junco and Chris Bradshaw and Traci and Peter Licata.
