Tacos y Tacones gala raises $400,000 for Latino organization that develops new generation of leaders

The 411: H-E-B played a major role in the evening that raised more than $400,000 for AAMA's programs aiding youth and families. H-E-B regional vice president for H-E-B/Mi Tienda stores Juan Alonso chaired the gala with his wife, Lisa Alonso. Also, H-E-B was underwriting sponsor of the evening.
KTRK Channel 13 vice president of community affairs Cynthia Cisneros served as emcee while AAMA president and CEO Beatrice Garza spoke on AAMA’s role in education and leadership development programs aiding at-risk Latino children and families succeed.
Entertainment featured Rice University's Mariachi Luna Llena before dinner and Grupo Kache for late-night dancing.
