Ladies with stiletto fever: Elaine Turner transforms a hot summer day into a cool autumn preview
The bubbly flowed and the credit card machines whirred as the ladies filling Elaine Turner at CityCentre Thursday morning swooped up the enticing offerings from the handbag and shoe designer's fall collection. All in the name of supporting Theatre Under the Stars and its education programs.
Members of TUTS Leading Ladies support group were invited to peruse the fall collection while enjoying summer spirits from CityCentre's Fleming's and tasty bites from nearby Flora & Muse. Twenty percent of sales from the day of Elaine Turner stilettos and related stilettos sales through Sept. 5 will be donated to the Leading Ladies' programs.
Serving as TUTS hostesses for the packed-house gathering were Paula Mott, Amy Pierce, Meredith Philipp-Tcholakian and Shelley Smith. They were among the happy shoppers visiting with Elaine Turner herself who chatted up the Parisian-inspired collection. Who could resist the booties, the boots, clutches and handbags?
Also welcoming the ladies was the designer's husband and business partner, Jim Turner.
In the shopping throng that included a sprinkling of men, we spotted Melissa King, Journey MacFarlane, Sam Byrd, Donna Rooney, George Malek, Marizza Glancey, Lorie Ochoa, Katharine Newman, April Lord, Misty Ellis, Jackie Fair and Elaine Turner veep Heather McLeskey.
