Houston shopper's paradise: Trendy pop-up stores and hot models create a scene, help the March of Dimes

The 411: It was a shopper's paradise when 28 boutiques opened pop-up shops in the ballroom lobby of the swank Galleria area hotel. Without once getting out in the heat, the ladies could browse through offerings from stores that included BB1 Classic, Elaine Turner, Pomp and Circumstance and French Cuff Boutique.
That was just part of the draw of the annual March of Dimes/Woman's Hospital event. Todd Ramos orchestrated a runway show of swell fall fashions, modeled by Page Parkes mannequins, while image consultant Rebecca Matthews shared the scoop on sophisticated styling.
Woman's Hospital CEO Linda Russell and March of Dimes guild member Laura Davenport chaired the event that featured a testimonial by Melissa Bonner, a Woman's Hospital patient who recently benefited from the March of Dimes Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Family Support Program. Proceeds from the day were earmarked for the program which assists 900 Houston area families each year.
