Schmoozing in the gardens of Bayou Bend a splendid way to spend a spring evening
The Bayou Bend Cocktail Party, traditionally the first in a trio of spring fundraisers for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston house museum, got the season rolling Thursday night as 300 A-listers arrived in the lush gardens to sip and socialize.
Kelly and Will Garwood chaired the evening that brought in $58,175 for Bayou Bend programs.
Among guests strolling the grounds, meandering through the party tent and swaying to the sounds of Kat Edmonson were Karol and Paul Barnhart, Leslie and Mark Hull, Ann and John Bookout, Sarah and Bradley Bracewell, Kelli Kickerillo and Todd Forester, Annie Criner and Campbell Eifler and Ryan Gordon.
The Bayou Bend partying continued on Saturday with the annual children's fete and on Sunday night with the Bayou Bend Garden Party. New MFAH director Gary Tinterow made both the Thursday and Sunday events.
