Fireworks, hardcore bikers and camp songs make for an anything but ordinary River Oaks party
There were plenty of surprises on tap for the sellout crowd at River Oaks Country Club when Camp for All took over for a 20th anniversary celebration. Supporters marked the milestone with a fireworks display over the lawn and with the singing of camp songs in a musical interlude led by a score of Camp for All Campers.
Former Camp for All chairman Becky Neuhaus took the spotlight as honoree, recognized for her dedication to the camp in West Burton. The Deacons of Deadwood Motorcycle Club was also honored for its 11 years of raising funds for children's charities. Since 2004, the bikers have given $240,000 to Camp for All.
It was a night of dinner and dancing with event plannerNiki Smith orchestrating the fun.
Heading up the camp-infused action were chairs Dena and Barry Wren and co-chairs Julie and Dr. David Brown, Camp for All president Pat Sorrells and husband Gordon, Camp for All Young Professionals president Brett Berly and wife Dawn, Deacons of Deadwood president Steve Lamb, Camp for All Friends president Carla Tharp and guests Sells Neuhaus, Clay Sorrells and fiancé Annie Powell, Dorothy Marchand, John Bassett and Kayla and Jim Lehmann.
