Those Victory gals love their guys — and this has nothing to do with Valentine's Day. It's just that the group of women that organizes the Cattle Baron's Ball each year couldn't do it without the enthusiasm of their boyfriends, dads, husbands and brothers. With that in mind, the fellows bowed in in the spotlight at the "Gentlemen's Committee Cocktail Bash."
The evening, held at Capone's Bar and Brick Oven, doubled as a benefit for the American Cancer Society with Victory members Allie Fields, Jackie Eubank and Molly Johnson chairing the high-energy gathering.
While grooving to the sounds of the Classix, the 150-plus guests scooped up raffle tickets, feasted on brick oven pizzas and Italian hors d'oeuvres and ruminated over the 2013 Cattle Baron's Ball set for April 27 at the George Ranch. Ball chairs Gigi Harbison and Lauri Gordon pumped up interest in the western-themed mega-fundraiser. Of course, their hubbies — David Gordon and Russell Harbison — were there to applaud their efforts.
In the mix were Jay Fields, Jebb Stone, Monty Eubank, Elizabeth and Alan Stein, Monica and Curtis Bickers, Meredith Riddle, Mary Ann and David McKeithan, Dee and James Darby, Luvi and Carlos Wheelock and Susie and Paul Gold.
