Schmoozing through the to-die-for fashions at the freshly-refurbished Louis Vuitton salon in the Galleria, Alley Theatre patrons savored early hints of the Alley's upcoming stylish fete, "Supper Club," set for May 4 at the historic JPMorgan Chase Building — all the while keeping the LV cash registers singing.
Alley gala chairs Carol and Mike Linn are jazzed over the prospects of the fundraiser being held in the Art Deco lobby of the old Gulf Building, completed in 1929. Anyone knowing this creative duo knows that the evening is sure to swing to a special beat reflective of the theme.
Models showcasing the new Louis Vuitton cruise collection strutted through the party scene where waiters from City Kitchen passed bubbly and trays of hors d'oeuvres. The libations and bites provided extra energy for the fevered shopping.
Even with just 60 or so guests, albeit those with ample discretionary income, the LV sales team was beaming. Popular purchases were scarves, shades and shoes and any number of purses. Even the gents got into the shopping with Brian Teichman loading up on Valentine's Day gifts for friends. Teichman and his partner, Andrew Cordes, have already signed on to chair the 2014 Alley gala.
Among those mixing amid the high-style offerings were Alley general manager Dean Gladden and wife Jane, Dorothy and Mickey Ables, Lynn Wyatt, Julia and Mark Ellis, Kathryn and Jim Ketelsen, Amy Fote and Chris Meyer, Connie and Roger Plank and Lauren Freeman and Forrest Roth.
