Bar shuffle: Sugarcane closes to free up resources for Corkscrew's Heightsrebirth
Dec 1, 2010 | 11:05 am
Sugarcane, the (eco)cktail concept opened by Wash Ave. Drinkery proprietors Andrew and Doyle Adams in the space formerly occupied by Corkscrew, has closed.
Instead, the brothers are focusing their efforts on reopening their low-key and well-loved Corkscrew wine bar in the Heights and leasing out the Sugarcane space to other club owners.
Andrew Adams tells CultureMap he can't yet reveal where Corkscrew will open in the Heights until "every 'T' is crossed and every 'I' dotted," — but details are coming soon. He also declined to elaborate on what was in store for the old Sugarcane space, but did say several "prominent club guys" were hard at work remodeling.
Stay posted with CultureMap and we'll let you know where Corkscrew uncorks.
