Paul Hope Cabaret will feature the songwriting team, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, and their early shows Brigadoon and Paint Your Wagon, among others.
Sharing the bill will be composer Burton Lane and lyricist E.Y."Yip" Harburg with their songs from Finian's Rainbow as well as classics that they wrote with other partners. Songs like "April in Paris," "Ole Devil Moon," and "How About You" will pair with Lerner and Loewe's "Almost Like Being in Love," "I Was Born Under a Wandrin Star," "They Call the Wind Maria," and "Heather on the Hill."
They will also welcome back their regulars Tamara Siler, Grace Givens, Seth Cunningham, Brian Chambers, and Richard Paul Fink. Returning after a long absence is Houston theatre veteran Susan Shofner. There will also be guest appearances from Houston theatrical royalty Kevin and Theresa Cooney as well as a debut from this city's beloved musical legend, Ray Rogers. Paul Hope will emcee and provide stories about the songwriters and show biz lore.
