Hubcap Grill jumps into the Heights burger wars with a beer garden
Fresh off the news that Christian's Tailgate is heading to the Heights, another burger favorite is staking a claim on the territory.
Hubcap Grill's Ricky Craig tweeted he has a new concept headed to the Heights — Hubcap Burgers and Beer Garden.
Featuring Texas beers and live bands playing "classic Texas rock" on the weekends as well as Hubcap's popular burgers, Hubcap had us at beer garden. (Anyone who remembers the expansive former beer garden off of Memorial, anyone who's become a fan of the new Moon Tower Inn or anyone who has spent time in Astoria can empathize.)
This is Craig's second new venture of the year — in June he debuted the Hubcap Burger Truck, a staple around Washington Avenue
Craig says he won't reveal the exact location until Monday, but we'd love to see some guesses in the comments — remember to avoid the dry areas.
Fans should expect Hubcap Burgers and Beer Garden to open around the end of the year, according to Craig.
CultureMappers, where in the Heights should Hubcap go? Are you more excited for Hubcap or Christian's Tailgate?
