This could be a blow for the reinvigorated Market Square Park. According to reports on Twitter, ERA Restaurant has shuttered.
In addition to some of the most inventive pizzas in Houston from excutive chef Edgar Gomez, ERA's long term plans for a rooftop bar and live music venue held a lot of promise. Calls to ERA's number went unanswered on Saturday night. The restaurant only opened in February.
A couple of reporters from CultureMap went to ERA early Friday afternoon and the restaurant was open with a decent (though not great) lunch crowd.
I guess the pleas on Facebook didn't get the business the restaurant hoped. Were you a fan of ERA? Will you miss it?
