Washington Ave Grows Up
New upscale Southern restaurant to open in historic building off Washington: Is the party zone growing up?
As Washington Avenue clubs continues to undergo a period of upheaval, a new restaurant promising "Southern, upscale cuisine" is set to open in a historic home at 908 Henderson Street. As noted by Swamplot, the new Big Eyed Fish will serve "everything your mom used to make from seafood to pork chops but with a twist."
Is Washington getting its own version of Down House that's named after a Dave Matthews Band song?
The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week with brunch on Sundays and offer at least 45 Texas craft beers.
No word on a menu, but Big Eyed Fish's Facebook page states that prices will run between $10 to 30.
Sounds like the restaurant will be a casual neighborhood spot with all-hours utility and a reasonably priced menu. Is Washington Avenue getting its own version of Down House that's named after a Dave Matthews Band song?
