The concept is now in the hands of Rucker's mother (Bootsie herself!) and has returned to the original menu of comfort food, with burgers, chicken fried steak, and now barbecue. Daily specials range from meatloaf Mondays to chicken and dumplings Wednesdays and fried catfish Fridays.
"Don't be surprised when you see me back there in the kitchen cooking up some of my favorite dishes. Randy didn't learn everything in school ... My motto is "Out with the New — In with the Old," writes Bootsie's on Facebook.
