They're baaaack: Burger Guys announce stand-alone shop in downtown Houston
It was a short, glorious two months as Brandon Fisch and The Burger Guys temporarily brightened up the not-particularly-foodie-friendly northern end of downtown by selling an abbreviated menu out of Kitchen Incubator.
Now the Westchase burger innovators with a frenzied following are opening up a full-fledged second location downtown on Main Street, in the former Korma Sutra location. The new space will be significantly larger than the original, with seating for 100 customers.
Fisch tells Houston Eater that they hope to open by Sept. 9, the second anniversary of their Westchase opening.
"We want to give people something fun to (do) with their lunch time. It's all about the burger love," owner Jake Mazzu told Eater, adding that they are considering adding salads or other non-burger options to the original menu of over-the-top globally-inspired burgers and hot dogs, duck fat fries and thick, rich milkshakes to give groups more ordering options.
After they've settled in, the guys are planning to add brunch as well. Seriously, just stop and imagine what The Burger Guys will create for brunch.
How excited are you that The Burger Guys are coming downtown for real?
