Lots of Texas breweries focus on craft beer, but Ed Gibson, a native of Bristol, England, saw an opportunity for a cider company that brewed traditional English cider. He founded Austin Eastciders to bring that product to America.
In the video detailing the company's process, Ken Kobrin, Eastciders' director of operations, reveals what sets them apart from other mainstream ciders in the States.
"We source our ingredients from the Pacific Northwest," he says, "but namely the most important one comes out of Europe: bittersweet apples."
Those special apples, which represent the company's commitment to creating a high-quality product, have made Austin Eastciders a brand of which Texans can't get enough.
