It's a good weekend to get sauced: Austin Invasion brings award-winningbartenders to Anvil
If you haven't made your Fourth-of-July weekend plans yet, you might consider staying in town.
With co-patriarch Kevin Floyd gone getting married this weekend and the staff gone to celebrate with him, Anvil Bar & Refuge is inviting six of Austin's most celebrated mixologists to Houston for the night Sunday to tend bar in everybody's absence.
The ATX Invasion includes a special event-exclusive cocktail menu and will have appearances by Bill Norris, formerly of Haddingtons and Fino; Haddingtons' Brandon Burkart; Bar Congress' Adam Bryan and Brian Dressel; Fino's Josh Loving and, repping Jeffrey's, Andy Arrington.
Bryan should be a special treat for Houston audiences — Esquire called him a veritable craft cocktail historian in this year's Best Bars in America.
