AmCap Gives Back
Houston's AmCap is all about giving back and investing in its communities
Part of owning a home or business means becoming invested in your community. Few understand that better than AmCap Mortgage, LTD., which is dedicated to giving back in several different ways.
Here's an overview of how the trusted mortgage loan and refinance company does its part to support its neighbors. Perhaps these good deeds will inspire you to seek out ways to contribute in your own area.
AmCap blood drives: It takes 1,000 donations per day to support local-area hospitals, and AmCap’s Woodlands and West offices were proud to make a dent in that number by hosting blood drives this year.
HPOT Turkey Trot: AmCap sponsored the Home Place of Texas Turkey Trot in November 2016. HPOT teaches adults with disabilities that God loves them and has a plan for them.
IMG Golf Tournament: Each year in November, AmCap partners with IMG to host a golf tournament benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides scholarships and assistance to the spouses and children of those killed or disabled in service to America. The foundation honors the sacrifices of America’s heroes, while giving hope to the bearers of their legacy. AmCap is looking forward to the 2017 event on November 13.
Museum of Fine Arts Houston: A proud corporate sponsor, AmCap also offers all its employees discounted memberships to the museum to encourage inspiration through the arts.
PTO sponsorship: AmCap loves to sponsor communities, and this year Ellisor Elementary PTO was the recipient of that love.
AmCap scholarship: AmCap believes one of the best ways it can help others is by investing in the future leaders of this country. So this year it rolled out the first-ever AmCap Educational Scholarship to help its employees and their immediate family members achieve their educational goals. Up to $17,500 total will be awarded to the nine 2017 winners, who were ultimately a diverse group.
AmCap West food drive: AmCap West hosted a challenge for the greater good in February 2017. Employees were told if they brought three non-perishable items, they’d be entered into a drawing to win a Yeti cooler. This led to over 200 items donated to Katy Christian Ministries.
AmCap TEAM donation: AmCap used its anniversary party this summer to collect donations for Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries. AmCap loves being a part of all the Houston communities and showing community programs how important they are.
