The Name Game
The InterContinental Houston gets more specific
Quick, where's the InterContinental Houston? (Don't look at that map to the right, that's too easy.) Hesitating? That's just what the people in charge thought.
The location of one of Houston's best hotels will no longer be even the tiniest question with its new name change to the InterContinental Houston Near the Galleria.
Yes, that's really the new name, aiming to capitalize on the well-known shopping and dining amenities in the area. And before you put that obvious stick down, the new chef's table inside the hotel is now called...TableOne.
We hope this is the start of a new trend: with Hotel Derek switching to Hotel Derek Just Inside 610, The Lancaster changing to The Lancaster Hotel in the Theatre District, and The Houstonian to The Houstonian In The Middle of Some Woods.
Hey, it could work.
