- The Heights Holiday Home Tour is a unique tradition.
The annual Heights Holiday Home Tour this weekend will feature six of the neighborhood's characteristic historic homes, each decorated for the holidays and available to tour with a docent.
This year's selection includes a modern craftsman-style home (built in 2008), a classic 1915 Queen Anne, the 1897 Sam J. Blackman home, a New Orleans-inspired renovated colonial-style bungalow and two neighbors (and family members) on Harvard Street whose homes are only a century apart — one built in 2003 and the other in 1903.
While you're in the hood, don't miss the Heights Holiday Market at 205 Bayland or the arts market at First Saturday at 548 W. 19th St.
Tours will be given Friday night and Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. Proceeds from tickets sales (tickets are available here or at various locations throughout the Heights) benefit the maintenance of Heights parks and landmarks like the Heights Fire Station.
