Houstonians are familiar with the city's dramatic skyline. Now the rest of the world has an opportunity to get a glimpse of it, too.
This Christmas, those sending out personal holiday greetings the old fashioned way — with an attractive card sent through the U.S. Postal Service — can do it with a Houston touch. The legendary Crane stationery company has created a holiday card featuring a pen-and-ink drawing of the downtown Houston skyline as seen from Allen Parkway.
Houston is one of only five cities to be accorded such an honor. (The other four are New York, Boston, San Francisco and Chicago.)
Prices for the special engraved cards start at $260 for 25; the price per card decreases as the number purchased increases. Available at Neiman Marcus, with 20 percent off on personalized holiday cards through Oct. 1.
