Decorative Center Houston pulls out the stops for spring market, design talent highlighted
Big name design talent stirred the creative juices at Decorative Center Houston's annual spring market during which the latest design products were on display and top design leaders from across the country provided insights.
Carrying the torch for inspired design was Barry Dixon, whose creations have been featured in top design magazines and on national television. He delivered the keynote address of the market.
More than 500 turned out for the day of special programs and showroom open houses. Perhaps the most fun presentation was that of best-selling author, TV personality and industry headhunter Stephen Viscusi, who shared tips on getting your own TV design show.
Program participants included Bill Stubbs, Nina Magnon, Haynes Robinson, Tobi Fairley, and Joseph Thomas. DCH owner Charles Cohen was in from New York before the market started to insure that all was in place for the design crowd.
Among the festivities was a cocktail celebration and grand opening of Abrahams Oriental Rugs and Fine Furnishings new showroom in the center, where Sam Abraham welcomed friends and customers.
