Evelyn Gorman is in the mix at 310 Rosemont

The style-setting 310 Rosemont made its mark on the shopping scene with an extensive denim collection, pieces for day-to-night and of course, a full bar. The men’s and women’s boutique in River Oaks Shopping Center is mixing things up again with the introduction of new lines unveiled by veteran Houston boutique owner Evelyn Gorman.

As the former owner of mix: (modern clothes), Gorman made a name for herself and her cutting-edge taste, bringing designers such as Balenciaga and Jil Sander to Houston. She relocated to New York after closing her boutique, but now she is consulting with 310 Rosemont partner Lee Ellis, bringing exclusive labels such as the pleasantly priced Jarbo, A Peace Treaty scarves and iconic Halston pieces to the store. Simon Miller and Levi’s Vintage will be added to the expansive denim wall. While the bulk of Gorman's influence won't be seen in the store until Spring 2010, 310 Rosemont is carrying limited Holiday pieces now.

Gorman will be revisiting her old stomping grounds as the store evolves, but she stressed it's a group effort. "We work in a collaborative way, everyone on the team has a voice in what we are attempting to do. Expect to see sizable changes in the store beginning in Spring 10 and expect to see huge changes in Fall '10," Gorman said.

In the meantime, drinks anyone?
