New York Fashion Week
A more relaxed Victoria Beckham shows a hint of a smile and her delicate side at fashion week
With a son named Brooklyn who's headed to the prestigious Parsons School of Design with plans to be a photographer, Victoria Beckham sure seems to be in a New York state of mind. The Spice Girl-turned-respected fashion designer is based in London but continues to show her collections at New York Fashion Week, where she has earned kudos for her crisp monochromatic creations.
Husband David Beckham, his longish locks pulled back in a knot, and the 18-year-old Brooklyn, in a black-and-white striped shirt, were on the front row for the debut of her spring/summer 2018 collection, which has evolved with a more relaxed attitude that reflects Victoria Beckham's new outlook on life.
Great show today very proud to be in NYC with this handsome young man @victoriabeckham 🔥

"This season I'm celebrating everything about being a woman," she said in her program notes. "Delicacy can be strong."
Indeed, the collection has a more delicate quality than her previous ones with sheer calf-length day dresses, trousers, and oversized jackets in pastel shades, gingham prints, and shimmery silks, and a touch more sparkle in cocktail dresses accented with black sequin panels.
For fans who favor her monochromatic looks, she continues to offer some striking simple black-and-white pieces. But even those are softened with a clutch in contrasting shades as a prime accessory or glittery heels that look inspired by Elsa in Frozen.
For her runway bow, Victoria Beckham appeared in jeans and a simple white T-shirt. It's an ensemble she's worn for several days while putting finishing touches on the show, the British press has noted.
“I haven’t really had the time to think about what I’ve been wearing,” she explained to The Guardian of London. “My wardrobe is full of white T-shirts, and it’s one less thing to think about such a busy week.”
