If the Shoe fits
What took so long? Sex and the City star plans new shoe line at Nordstrom
We're surprised it look this long.
Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker is launching a new shoe line, SJP, at Nordstrom. The new collection, which will debut in January 2014, includes sandals, flats, pumps and boots ranging from about $200-$400 with handbags at $700.
"In a silly way, I think it's what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw," Parker told Vogue.com.
The TV series ended in 2004, but remains a hit in syndication. In the first Sex and the City movie, which premiered in 2008, audiences squealed along with Parker's character upon seeing a shoe closet the size of a small house in her and Mr. Big's new apartment.
Parker is teaming with Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus to create the collection.
"Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes, and by default I learned an enormous amount," Parker said. "It's hard to walk away from that."
