Reality TV bad boy starts selling guns online, specializing in souped up, customized weapons
TV biker bad boy Jesse James' firearms line is now available online. The Jesse James Firearms Unlimited website, which launched this week, allows customers to purchase customized AR-15 rifles and pistols.
"We launched [late Monday night] and the server went down almost immediately. It crashed twice, but we got it back online," James tells the Austin Business Journal. "If it doesn't crash, then you're worried you're not doing something right."
On the new website, potential customers can shop for rifles — with base prices from $3,499 to $4,997 — and 1911 pistols — with base prices from $3,799 to $4,699. They can then choose from an assortment of customization options. The JJFU Cisco Especial pistol, for instance, is handmade in Austin and retails for $4,699. It can be upgraded with custom options like full polished frame and side ($1,000) and a custom caliber ($500).

According to the website, Jesse James Firearms Unlimited sells firearms, ammo and custom firearms only in accordance with federal, state and local firearm laws. Details regarding the purchasing process are available online.
James unveiled the firearms line in the fall of 2013. Following in the footsteps of his success with West Coast Choppers, James aims to bring the same craftsmanship and detail to a new industry and product.
"It's taking the same theory behind my world-famous bikes and applying it to another passion of mine, which is guns," he says in a statement.
