What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?
Fireworks, music and more make CITYCENTRE the place to party this New Year's Eve
You’ve decked the halls and now it’s time to watch the ball drop. The biggest party of the year is at CITYCENTRE and the plaza is Destination Celebration 2013 with a DJ and an extravagant fireworks display at midnight. When it comes to welcoming the New Year, CITYCENTRE’s array of restaurants, lounges and the award-winning Hotel Sorella is sure to mark your most memorable New Year’s Eve yet.
Hotel Sorella garners accolades from notables such as Condé Nast Traveler and U.S. News and World Report, so ushering in 2013 is sure to be a luxurious and memorable experience. The “Quite the Night Monnalisa” package not only gives you the ultimate pool-side view for the fireworks display, but guests also receive a champagne welcome gift and exclusive access for two to Monnalisa and the chic lounge’s terrace above the plaza. VIP guests (yes, that’s you) enjoy the sounds of the Norma Zenteno Band, a balloon drop and a midnight toast — and the option to celebrate the new year and then slip into Hotel Sorella’s comfortable beds.
Rates start at $299 per room — based on double occupancy — for Dec. 31, and celebratory-priced pre- and post-holiday nights are available with the package for just $109 per room, excluding tax. Guests must be 21 years of age or older. Pre-payment is required and non-refundable after Dec. 28, 2012.
BeHUMAN Gallery

The gallery is hosting New Year's Eve Art Nite Out, featuring more than 20 local and international artists. Guests can take in the art, enjoy cocktails and light fare and listen to music by Sounds Crate. Just before midnight, Art Nite Out guests will head to the plaza for the fireworks extravaganza.

Bistro Alex is always divine dining, but this New Year’s Eve the upscale restaurant is featuring two four-course seatings. Want to start your evening early? Book a $79 6 p.m. seating or for a later option, reserve a 9 p.m. spot.
RA Sushi always feels like a party, but this New Year’s Eve the “RA”ck the night away event is one not to be missed. From a 7 p.m. start to last call after the clock strikes midnight, guests will enjoy a live DJ and New Year’s themed food and drink specials. The evening’s menu is an ode to all things New Year’s and dazzles your taste buds with Firework Shrimp ($8), the “RA”solution Roll ($6), Stroke of Midnight Maki ($5) and the Edamame Eve Dip ($4).
RA’s festive sips include the Midnight Kiss ($7), dragonberry rum muddled with fresh berries, raspberry liqueur and fresh juices, or $6 Ball Droppin’ Bombers (Kirin/Kirin Light and Sake), with the option to add apple, mango, melon or raspberry flavor for $1. Or sip on a Frozen Yuzu or Miyagi Midnight Margarita for $5.
The New Year will have an Old Hollywood feel at Straits. Guests enjoy regular dinner service and Straits Asian-inspired menu until 11 p.m. and bites from the Late Night Menu from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. For those looking to take the celebration outdoors, the patio and cabanas are available for bottle service. Cost is $10 cover charge after 10 p.m., which includes a complimentary toast at midnight. Grey Goose drink specials as well as cigars will also be available.
Salute the New Year at The Tasting Room with a special three-course prix-fixe menu for $45 with the option of wine pairings. Live music, a midnight Veuve Cliquot champagne toast and balloon drop round out the New Year’s Eve fun.
And, because not every celebration requires champagne, Yardhouse is offering a complimentary midnight beer toast. Cheers!
