Houston-based comedy writer Jenny Johnson spares no one from her Twitter attacks — not her stepkids, not Kim Kardashian and certainly not Chris Brown, the young rapper who was convicted in 2009 of assaulting then- (and possibly current) girlfriend Rihanna.
"I'm not a fan of Chris Brown's for obvious reasons," Johnson told Paper Mag in May. "Hello, he beat up a girl."
After Johnson's numerous failed attempts to engage Brown via Twitter, he finally took the bait on Sunday after she tweeted:
I know! Being a worthless piece of shit can really age a person. RT @chrisbrown: I look old as fuck! I'm only 23...
— Jenny Johnson (@JennyJohnsonHi5) November 25, 2012Brown retaliated by describing various violent methods of sexual punishment that served to refute any sort of remorse that he was meant to have felt following his Rihanna assault.
None does so more, though, than a final message he sent out before deleting his account:
Get some help. Seriously. RT @chrisbrown: Just ask Rihanna if she mad??????
— Jenny Johnson (@JennyJohnsonHi5) November 26, 2012This vitriolic back-and-forth unleashed the fury of Brown's army of unwavering fans, a group that identifies as Team Breezy and is known for Twitter rampages and death threats. (Billboard compiled some of the worst threats against Johnson's life here.)
Meanwhile, Johnson seems to be taking the backlash in stride. We suppose it's only a matter of time before the comedian is back on the snark wagon.
Johnson did not return CultureMap's request for comment.
