Welcome the holiday season with 4 major Houston events at CityCentre
The North Pole may be the center of holiday cheer, but CityCentre isn't far behind. Two major November events kick off the Christmas season and two more help ring in the New Year with a bang, so mark your calendars, grab your jingle bells and noisemakers, and get ready to immerse yourself and your family in some magic.
November 23, Glisten Holiday Lighting
From noon to 9 pm, there is a 100 percent chance of snow in the plaza. Grab a sled and fly down the five-foot snow slides, or build your own Frosty in the snow play area. At 6 pm, a DJ will turn up the merriment with holiday tunes and at 7 pm you can marvel at the ice carving demonstration.
Worried about the chill? Sewell Cadillac is ready to warm you up with complimentary hot chocolate and apple cider. At 8 pm, get ready to marvel as the plaza lights up. Glisten Holiday Lighting is presented by Sewell Cadillac and Texas Children's Hospital West Campus.
November 30, Holiday in the Plaza
Here comes Santa Claus, and he's driving a Cadillac. The jolly man himself is arriving a noon to spread cheer and pose for pictures, and he wants your help in filling his Cadillac (provided by Sewell) with new, unwrapped toys to be donated to Texas Children's Hospital West Campus.
Bring a toy, and your photo with Saint Nick is free. You can also decorate a new ornament for the tree with Life Time Athletic, while listening to the Houston Show Choir fill the plaza with rocking Christmas songs at 1 pm, 3:30 pm, and 5 pm.
December 31, Noon Year's Eve
Bring the kids from 11 am-1 pm so they can experience a family-friendly New Year's Eve celebration with face painting, a DJ, balloon and caricature artist, Lucky Shots' magic mirror photo booth, and bubbles (the floating kind) at noon.
December 31, New Year's Eve Fireworks
Still ready to party later? Adults can return from 9:30 pm-12:30 am for a NYE bash to remember. The excitement begins at with live music in the plaza from five-piece variety dance band A Sure Thing, followed by a countdown to midnight capped off with confetti and a 60-second rooftop fireworks show.
Parking will be $10 in all CityCentre garages beginning at 6 pm. Please allow extra time for parking before and after the event due to large attendance; carpooling and ride sharing are highly encouraged.
