Years In the Making
Radiohead is set to play a rare Houston show: How you can get tickets
Each and every time Radiohead tours, I hesitate to buy tickets. Then they promptly sell out. Then I regret it for years until the next tour is announced.
On Monday, the band announced long-awaited 2012 dates for a tour to promote The King of Limbs, which was released in Feb. 2011 as a beautifully low-key follow up album to the critically-acclaimed In Rainbows (2007).
In 2008, Radiohead played a sold-out suburban show at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. This time around, Houston proper has made the initial list — the Toyota Center will be graced on March 3, 2012, and fans should expect something different.
W.A.S.T.E. fan club members get first dibs on tickets during a presale this Wednesday. Tickets become available to the general public on Saturday at 10 a.m. The arena has a capacity of 19,000, but tickets are bound to go fast.
Sure, they're a little pricey, at $45 to $69.50 — but, if you're like me, you'll be kicking yourself later if you don't shell out now.
