No glasses necessary
The superhero secrets of the new Nintendo 3DS
Superheroes have superhuman, unfathomable abilities. Reading minds, flying, teleporting, X-ray vision. If only you were a superhero, you'd have it made.
That's why we're especially grateful to Nintendo for sprinkling a little superpower dust in our laps.
As soon as February 2011, you can harness the magic of 3D vision for your very own — without the tawdry cardboard glasses.
That's when Nintendo is slated to release its latest handheld gaming device, the Nintendo 3DS, in Japan (March for us). And that 3D stands for exactly what you think it does.
With the Nintendo 3DS, you're in control of your multidimensional mayhem with a 3D slider, so you can get as trippy or in-touch as you want. You can also turn you and your friends into 3D dreams with the dual camera lens featured on the device.
Yup, Nintendo deserves a pat on the back for feeding directly into the gimmicky-cum-trendy 3D craze. But when gadgetry is cool, it's certainly worth a nod. If not 25,000 yen.
