While some purists are alarmed over the rise of cozy partnerships between museums and corporations that lend out their art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston director Peter Marzio says he's OK with such collaborations. "I'm a proponent of it," he told the New York Times in a recent article. "I prefer to see the art out there." A Bank of America collection of 30 watercolors of the American West by Alfred Jacob Miller is headed for the museum next year.
