Out of the hospital
Idol logic: Fantasia Barrino really loves aspirin and T-Mobile
Fantasia Barrino, best known for winning season three of American Idol, was released from the hospital late Wednesday night, apparently recovered from overdosing on aspirin and sleep aids in an apparent suicide attempt that took place just two days earlier.
News of the overdose came just after Barrino was named in child support filings by the wife of Antwaun Cook. There is media speculation that the singer made sex tapes with Cook, her married on-and-off-again boyfriend, who she met at a T-Mobile store.
My question (among more obvious ones, like why would you ever believe a married man when he tells you he's unhappy in a still-intact marriage?) is: Why aspirin? To prevent a potential monster headache if the sleeping pills failed? I know not.
Barrino is now set to continue her VH1 reality show Fantasia for Real, the second season of which is scheduled to premiere Sept. 19.
So, to recap — Fantasia's fine. But Ted Stevens is dead.
