What happened to the Grand Ole Opry?
After killing the Beatles, American Idol alum Kristy Lee Cook shoots for largerprey (with video)
Kristy Lee Cook has a bit of dubious fame in the American Idol universe for being second only to Mark David Chapman in successfully killing a piece of The Beatles with her countrified rendition of "Eight Days a Week."
Not content with just one kill, Cook has a new hunting reality show debuting on Versus called Goin' Country.
The new show — she previously hosted Outdoor's 10 Best on the Outdoor Channel — will show Cook's life trying to make it in the music business as well as her hunting trips around the country with her husband, friends, and celebrity guest stars including fellow Idol alum Blake Lewis, Aaron Tippin and Jake and Jarrod Owen.
While there's no doubt that Kristy Lee Cook is the real deal when it comes to the cowgirl lifestyle — she also lives in a log cabin in Oregon and sang "God Bless The USA" in her season of Idol and on the national tour — she may also be the first person to hunt in fake eyelashes.
Plus I love the gunshots that punctuate the theme song:
