A delicious twist
Fired Chronicle society reporter Sarah Tressler to hold her stripper booksigning in River Oaks
America's favorite stripper journalist Sarah Tressler will be doing a book signing in the heart of the society beat she used to cover for the Houston Chronicle. Tressler plans to sign books at the River Oaks Bookstore later this month.
Out on e-book since June, Tressler's new book Diary of an Angry Stripper will be released in paperback Sunday.
As CultureMap first reported back on June 6, Tressler is traveling to the country's most popular gentlemen's clubs to promote her book Diary of an Angry Stripper (currently available on e-book and out in paperback Sunday). She has continued to gain national attention after joining forces with acclaimed attorney Gloria Allred to fight her sudden termination from the Chronicle as a society reporter on gender discrimination grounds. The Chronicle fired Tressler after the Houston Press outed her as a part-time exotic dancer.
Now, the stripper/society reporter will be back in River Oaks — Houston society central — to sign her stripping book.
While an official date and time have yet to be confirmed due to fluctuations in Tressler's touring schedule, River Oaks Bookstore employees told CultureMap they are currently planning to hold the signing Saturday, July 28 from 3 to 5 p.m rather than July 21 as was first expected. Stay tuned for final details.
