The worst celebrity tweeter ever?
Yankees All-Star Nick Swisher gives gal pal Jamie-Lynn Sigler a Twitter lesson
- Jamie-Lynn Sigler only has a small bunch of followers. She is such a twittern00b.
- Nick Swisher doesn't get any help from Sigler.
Jamie-Lynn Sigler — former Sopranos star, current indie-movie actress — tried to help tweet her friend, New York Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher, into Major League Baseball's All-Star Game.
There was only one problem. Sigler has only 1,810 followers on her twitter account. Swisher himself (a relatively unfamous baseball player) has more than 1.2 million. (For reference, Paris Hilton has 2.2 million).
Swisher did end up making the roster for Tuesday's All-Star Game, winning the fan vote for the last roster spot on the American League squad. And he did it in huge part thanks to his own relentless tweeting. Thanks but no thanks, Meadow!
Maybe, Swisher can teach Sigler though — during their double dates as part of New York's powerful athlete-actor alliance. Sigler and her boyfriend, New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, have gone out on the town with Swisher and his fiancee Joanna Garcia.
In one of her better tweets, Sigler did reveal: "I had the BESt weekend. @nickswisher @LanceBass @stephanieherman @aaronbakalar @drejko etc. Thank uuuu"
Still, less than 2,000 followers for the hottest woman on one of the most iconic TV series of all time? Swish get Sigler some help. A technology intervention is in order.
Does Dr. Drew do that too?
