This lady does not prefer blondes: Salma Hayek gives Cameron Diaz acold-shouldered snub
Jennifer Lopez got her break playing the role of the Latina superstar, Selena
Salma Hayek
On her promotional tour for Grown Ups this week, Salma Hayek went from talking about eating bugs to the growing success of Latino actors in Hollywood.
Hayek, who was born and raised in Mexico and now lives in France with her billionaire husband and their young daughter, credits none other than Jennifer Lopez for breaking down barriers for Latino entertainers. She tells Collider.com, "I was very privileged to be part of a small generation of people that broke through that door first, but I didn’t do it by myself. Jennifer Lopez was also part of it. Ricky Martin was a huge part of it."
Props to the former Fly Girl (Lopez broke through in Selena) but no shout-out to half-cuban Cameron Diaz? Her breakout role was in The Mask, released in 1997, the same year as Selena.
Salma, you snake!
