Louis C.K. Tour
Louis C.K. plans all-new comic material for upcoming tour, with Houston stop
Emmy Award winning comedian Louis C.K. will make Houston the only Texas stop on his upcoming tour — and he promises all new stand-up material. The comedian, who has amassed a strong following for his unique brand of comedy, will appear at NRG Arena on July 12.
Tickets are currently on sale at all Ticketmaster locations, including Ticketmaster.com. The comedian is known for offering new ways to present his material and keeps his tickets affordably priced. "Tickets for every seat at every show (with a few exceptions) are one price. Most tickets are $50 or less. There are no ticket fees for any shows," C.K. wrote in an email to fans.
The comedian gained popularity with his FX series, Louie, which is currently on extended hiatus, and a new web series Horace and Pete, a drama he both writes and directs. The show debuted in January and is being directly distributed through his website louisck.net.
In an email to fans, the comedian promised to showcase all new stand-up material, reports Rolling Stone. "It's new jokes and I think I’m better at comedy right now than I've been for a while and I’m going to dedicate the year to just doing great live shows.
"It's all new material (well, I've been working on it for about a year, so if you saw me at a club or something since last May or so, you might be seeing some of the same material, though it has changed drastically over the months) but if you've seen me on tour, in a major venue, you won’t have seen these particular words."
The tour opened in Baltimore on Tuesday and will end September 12 at New York's Madison Square Garden. Houston is currently the only Texas stop on the tour, although C.K. promised more tour dates will be announced in July. Check out his official website for more information.
