Pretty Wild: How will Bling Ring reality star cope in jail?
When Pretty Wild was announced, E!'s reality show about the pretty, obnoxious Neiers sisters just seemed like a poor man's Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
But no one predicted that the first episode would feature oldest sister Alexis Neiers being arrested for being part of the Bling Ring, a crew of non-famous, non-rich high school kids from the Los Angeles suburbs who broke into the houses of celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge and Orlando Bloom, stealing cash, jewelry, and expensive clothes. Pretty Wild became a love-to-hate-it tabloid drama. Alexis cries, whines, hits on hot guys, and cries some more.
But it looks like Neiers's television days are about to be put on hold. The 18-year-old pled no contest to felony burglary charges for the Orlando Bloom job and was sentenced to up to 180 days in jail and three years of felony probation. (Her plea was in part motivated by Bloom's willingness to testify.)
The Bling Ring reportedly took over half a million dollars worth of goods from Bloom's home, including five Rolexes worth a total of $450,000, a $200,000 ring, two paintings worth $25,000 and $4,000 in cash, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Neiers could be ordered to make restitution of up to $680,000 depending on the outcome of the trials of her co-defendants.
