No biggie: Cornell only has to beat Kentucky & suicide stigma

For once, Cornell is the topic of conversations not about suicide, Keith Olbermann or Andy Bernard. It's about basketball, and Big Red's unlikely ascension to the Sweet Sixteen.
If Cornell wins against No. 1 seed Kentucky tonight, they'll be the first Ivy to advance to the Elite Eight since Penn did it in 1979.
They've played Kentucky once before — in 1966 — and won. Here's hoping they continue their burgeoning winning streak against the Wildcats.
The Ithaca, New York school could certainly use some more good news. The campus has been rocked by six student suicides this academic year. It's gotten to the point where Cornell's gone into full suicide-crisis mode and put up temporary eight-foot-high fencing on three campus bridges that go over an infamous gorge.
I'm also pulling for Corneezy because my best friend is finishing up her last semester there — isn't that how you're supposed to make your picks?
Whatever showing the bballers make, they've always got the laxers.
