Last Artist Standing: Vote to determine which artists get into the Bayou CityArt Festival
As Bayou City Art Festival makes preparations for next weekend's 40th annual extravaganza at Memorial Park, CultureMap is coming up with ways to expose Houston's emerging artists to the internationally-renowned festival scene.
In collaboration with the Lawndale Art Center, CultureMap has curated a list of local artists who have been involved in Lawndale's Big Art Show, and we're putting them to a popular vote. The top two artists will have a space reserved for their work at the CultureMap booth.
From Daniel Anguilu's colorful, angular murals, to Debra Barrera's thought-provoking time-friezes, to Patrick Turk's tongue-in-cheek kaleidoscopic collages, the broad array of works indicate the unsurpassed talent of Houston's emerging artists.
Which artist's work would you like to see on display at CultureMap's Bayou City Arts Festival booth? Tell us by voting in the latest CulturePoll! You decide who gets into show.
Just make sure to vote by 10 p.m. Wednesday.
