Welcome To Our House
New batch of Super Bowl parties feature Flo Rida, Busta Rhymes, sneakers and tuxedos
The list of Super Bowl parties just keeps growing.
Among the latest to tell CultureMap about their Super happenings is sports merchandise giant Fanatics, which is hosting an afternoon party on Super Bowl eve (February 4) at The Ballroom at Bayou Place. Singer/rapper Flo Rida, whose "Welcome to My House" is one of our favorites, will headline the event, which is expected to attract top names in sports and entertainment. The party is by-invitation-only.
The Florida native will have a busy day as he is also the featured performer at the Playboy party on the night of February 4 at the new Club Spire in downtown Houston. Tickets can be purchased here.
Three big parties are planned by the Ty Ryan Sports Group, the athletic, entertainment, political and crisis management firm founded by Darrell Johnson based in Atlanta with a satellite office in Houston. On February 3, the group will take over the Corinthian for a party titled "The Ticket, The Show Like No Other," featuring a live performance by rapper Busta Rhymes and music by DJ D-Nice. Among guests expected are NFL players Justin Bethel and Jarvis Landry, Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George, and actress Eva Marcille.
On February 4, former NFL quarterback Michael Vick will host an afternoon party at Bella Rinova spa in River Oaks District, with cocktails and music by DJ Rob G on the expansive patio. That night, nearby Le Colonial will be the site of a party titled "Exotic Sneakers and Tuxedos," as guest show off their favorite kicks on the red carpet. TV and Radio personality Big Tigger will host the affair, with DJ Kid Capri will flying in from New York to spin in the VIP Lounge. MC Lyte, known as the pioneer feminist of hip hop, will perform.
Tickets start at $250 and can be purchases at www.TheTicketInternational.net.
