Who needs a Kardashian?
Action-packed reality TV series is headed to Houston, thanks to producer Jerry Bruckheimer
A new reality series is heading for Houston and it comes with a darned good pedigree. Deadline Hollywood reports that Marshal Law: Texas has been greenlighted for six episodes on TNT with “top producer” Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Bros. TV behind it.
The report comes just after another series with Houston ties, Cold Justice, was announced last week. (Local prosecutor Kelly Siegler and Las Vegas police investigator Yolanda McClary will team to try to solve cold cases.)
No premiere date has been set for Marshal Law: Texas, but it is expected to debut this year. Plans call for Cold Justice to join the TNT lineup in late summer.
Marshal Law: Texas will follow the officers of the “elite” Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force, part of the U.S. Marshal Service, who will work with the Houston Police Department, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and other law-enforcement agencies as they “track down extremely violent offenders, serve warrants and go on the hunt for some of America’s most wanted criminals.”
Sounds like the camera crew might need bullet-proof vests. This ain’t gonna be no Kardashian wedding.
The Houston Film Commission has no further details at this time, but here's hoping there will be some work for local hires.
