With the muggy dogs days of summer just about behind us, the Houston area is getting ready for its busy fall festival season. Whether you're looking for food, drink, dancing or the arts, there really is something for everyone — from hot sauce and hot dogs to foreign films and pinot noir.

Houston Hot Sauce Festival — $8 for adults, Stafford Center, Sept. 21 to 22
Hallettsville Kolache Festival — Free, Knights of Columbus Hall Hallettsville, Sept. 27 to 28
Texas Bluebonnet Wine Trail — $30 each or $50 for two, Between I-45 and U.S. Highway 290, Oct. 5 to 6 and 12 to 13
The Original Greek Festival — $5 for adults, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Oct. 3 to 6
Haute Wheels Food Truck Fest — $16 to $30, Houston Community College Southwest, Oct. 11 to 13
