METRO is up and running again with limited schedule of bus and rail service
METRO resumes a limited schedule of bus and rail service on Thursday morning (August 31). Here's a rundown:
Bus Service - Buses are running along 17 major routes, which represent nearly half of the system's ridership. Buses will run every 30 minutes, but keep in mind that road conditions remain uncertain in some areas, so detours and delays are likely.

28 OST- Wayside
40 Heights/ Telephone
50 Broadway
52 Hardy- Ley
54 Scott
56 Airline/ Montrose
63 Fondren
65 Bissonnet
80 MLK/ Lockwood
82 Westheimer
85 Antoine/ Washington
102 Bush IAH
700 Red Line Shuttle Bus
Rail service - There is limited METRORail service on the Red Line in downtown Houston from the Fannin South Station to the Downtown Transit Center. Bus shuttles will provide transportation along the line from the Downtown Transit Center to Northline Transit Center. Red Line service will run every 15 minutes.
The Green and Purple Line services remain suspended until further notice.
METROLift service -The service is limited to patrons who need trips to receive dialysis and other life sustaining medical care. Due to uncertain road conditions, it is still possible METROLift will not be able to reach certain areas to pick up patrons. Requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
METROLift trips should be scheduled one day in advance online or by calling 713-225-6716.
Park & Ride
Park & Ride will resume September 5. HOV/ HOT lanes are suspended until further notice.
