Amazon rolls out whimsical pop-up event for Houston parents-to-be
The news of a new baby is often a time of sheer, unadulterated joy. Questions such as, “What should we name him/her?” and “Who will he/she look like?” abound. And then, there’s the ubiquitous question of, “Oh no...what the [bleep] do we buy now?”
To the rescue comes global shopping juggernaut Amazon, which is rolling out its popular Treasure Truck and First Steps program in an effort to promote its new baby registry. The truck will make a stop in Houston at Silver Street Studios (2000 Edwards St.) on Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16.
The First Steps event is meant to offer guests a chance to meet with Amazon representatives who will be sharing tips and tricks and helping with basic and detailed registry needs. Attendees will get hands-on with must-have baby registry essentials and enjoy an array of “surprise-and-delight” moments throughout the expansive layout, according to a release.
Guests can also experience a toy playroom featuring best-selling merchandise for infants and toddlers, a car seat display to test drive the latest in car seat safety and technology, a stroller test park, complimentary beverage offerings, a furniture pop-up house, a premium clothing area, and more.
Parents-to-be, or the folks shopping for them, can get more information at the Treasure Truck and First Steps official site.
