Hamburger U gets competition
Call me Vanilla Bill: White embraces boringness in new university pitch
Let's be honest, Bill White has the charisma of Wheat Thins.
I've never heard a negative utterance about the man, but when it comes to charm, he's no Bill Clinton — and maybe that's a good thing.
Now, in a bid to stir the interest of younger supporters, the aspiring governor has launched Bill White University, a one-day training program to educate would-be supporters and teach them how to campaign. I guess it's better than McDonald's Hamburger University.
White acknowledges his own vanilla in the program's YouTube spot, which is, as expected, mind-numbingly boring. "It'd be pretty dull if it was about me, but it's about moving our state forward," he says to the camera. Was that ... a joke?
Watch the spot below and for the love of all things holy, help this man. He's up against Rick Perry's race car. The White campaign is even holding Bill White University on April 17, one day before the Perrymobile's hits the NASCAR track.
