Sustainable Living Fest at Market Square Park focuses on Houston's green potential
The 54th Annual St. Patrick's Parade isn't the only thing bringing out the green in downtown Houston on Saturday: Sustainable Living Fest will take over Market Square Park from noon to 6 p.m. to focus on the city's past environmental accomplishments and its future green potential.
Expect to be entertained by live homegrown music, eco-education sessions, an up-cycled fashion show and kid-friendly crafts and activities. Saint Arnold Brewing Company will provide the brews and Niko Niko's, as well as local vendors like Pat Greer, Kickin Kombucha, Rawfully Organic and Michael's Cookie Jar, will be serving up food.
Vendors as varied as produce delivery service Greenling and fitness experts at Camp Gladiator, style mavens at Magpies & Peacocks and sustainable housing designers at HAUS Project (plus many more) will be on hand to demonstrate how we can all do our part.
Admission is free, but entrance to the Emerald City VIP Tent — which includes complimentary bites from Ruggles Green, Karbach brews, close views of the stage and more — will run you just $50 and will ensure the fest's continued growth.
