Free ride city? METRO gives out 12,000 Valentine's Day cards

Volunteer staff from METRO stormed dozens of transit locations around Houston on Tuesday, greeting riders with cards for Valentine's Day.
This was part of Operation Thank You, the second annual initiative by METRO meant to show love and appreciation to its hundreds of thousands of daily patrons (the agency reports that there are 370,000 uses of METRO in an average day).
METRO gave out 12,000 Valentine's cards, including 2,000 with $2.50 fare cards for loyal riders.
